This pattern is for mittens knitted on a circular needle in one piece in the round using a magic loop technique. The pattern can also be used to knit on double-pointed needles. The pattern is suitable for women, men, and children. Just choose the right color!
Difficulty level: easy to intermediate – to knit these mittens, you need to know about the magic loop technique or have basic knitting in the round skills, cast on, bind off, purl, knit, and decrease.
The finished mittens sizes are for:
Toddler – approx. 14cm / 5.5” in circumference
Child – approx. 16cm / 6.25” in circumference
Adult – approx. 18cm / 7” in circumference
The pattern is stretchy.
Yarn suggested – Bernat Sheep(ish) stripes, 70% acrylic, 30% wool,
2.4oz/70g/137 yards/126m – 1 ball or any other worsted-weight yarn.
Needles & Notions: circular needle US 8/5.0mm(if you will use the magic loop technique) or US 8/5.0mm double pointed needles, stitch markers, darn needle, stitches holder or a piece of about 12” long contrasting color waste yarn.
Patterns are written in standard U.S. English terms.
The pattern contains written round-by-round knitting instructions.
